Suzanne Collins az ifjúsági irodalom új üdvöskéje. Az éhezők viadala címmel megjelent trilógiája hatalmas sikert aratott világszerte, az Agave kiadó jóvoltából pedig a magyar közönség is megismerkedhetett Katniss Everdeen és Panem lakóinak mindenkit rabul ejtő poszt-apokaliptikus történetével. 

A hatalmas sikernek köszönhetően a Lionsgate 2009-ben már meg is vette a megfilmesítés jogait, az első kötet moziváltozatának megjelenése előreláthatólag 2012. március 23-a lesz. Nyilván sokan fenntartásokkal vannak a YA irodalom iránt, de ez a sorozat messze nem Twilight-szintű, ezt szerintem a pasik éppúgy élvezik, mint a lányok. (Amúgy csak egy gondolat erejéig offolok: A Twilightot is lehet fikázni, mert tényleg nem világmegváltó a történet, egy-egy fejezettől eltekintve pedig kifejezetten alacsony színvonalú írás, de rengeteg emberrel, főleg fiatalokkal szerettette meg az olvasást, és ez mindenképpen olyan érdem, amit mindenkinek becsülnie kell.)    

Mint minden irodalmi feldolgozásnál, itt is jó előre mentek a latolgatások, hogy melyik szerepre ki lenne  a legalkalmasabb, ki kit szeretne kinek a megformálójaként látni. Aztán nyilvánosságra került a castingos, a rendező, meg a producerek döntése, és a földi halandó rajongó vagy örült, vagy elszörnyülködve bámulta a monitort. Nekem keserédes esemény volt mikor megtudtam a döntést. Hogy miért? Azért egyet kattintani kell:) Csakúgy, mint az EW exkluzív képeiért...

Az a helyzet, hogy bármekkora eye-candy is Rob, én még mindig azt mondom, hogy inkább énekeljen, mint színészkedjen.  Nyugodtan kövezzetek meg ezen véleményemért, de továbbra is sokkal hitelesebbnek érzem ha zenél...
